The editors didn't like

  • Point and press picture quality is nothing to write home about and it's very slow to start up. It's not that nice to use either

  • This is actually not a bad camera by a long shot but other travel compacts in the same class are a far better buy....

  • Highquality finish, Incredibly compact design, Very quiet, compact 20x zoom lens, Effective digital zoom function
  • Contrast drops from 1600 ISO upwards, Is 18 million pixels too many pixels?, Video quality could be better, No touchscreen, screen viewing angles could still be better
  • The Sony Cyber-shot WX300 earns its status as a premium compact with a sleek, well-made body that's incredibly compact given the camera's 20x zoom lens. It'll no doubt appeal to style-conscious users looking for a camera that's easy to use and which gener...

  • By Josh Fate The Sony Cyber-Shot WX300 is an ultra-compact digicam featuring far more versatility and ease of use than you can imagine. Sporting a 20x optical "G" lens and an 18.2-Megapixel Backside Illuminated Exmor R CMOS imaging sensor, you can get...

  • The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX300 is currently the lightest, smallest camera with a 20x zoom. It has built-in Wi-Fi for on-the-go sharing (among other things); fantastic battery life; and a large variety of auto shooting options
  • The camera's weight and size can make it difficult to keep steady when using the zoom lens, the screen is difficult to see in bright sun, and the lens has small apertures at both ends, making the zoom best suited for daytime, outdoor use
  • If you miss having a zoom lens, but don't want to add too much bulk and weight to your travels, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX300 is a very good choice.

  • The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX300 is a lovely camera to look at. It's slightly reminiscent of the new RX series that they've released and maybe that's what they set out to do. The build quality that's gone into the WX300 is great, such as the G lens, metal c...

  • Large optical zoom; Builtin Wifi; Responsive in operation; Fast focusing
  • Body almost too small in conjunction with the lens; Noise is a major issue above ISO 800
  • The Sony Cyber-shot WX300 is available for around £280; similarly svelte, long zoom cameras include the Canon Powershot SX260HS which is priced around £180, Sony's own less expensive HX20V (Around £210) and Nikon's Coolpix S9500 at around £260. Fuji...

  • Good overall performance, Fast shooting, Crisp screen, Full manual control, Powerful zoom in a compact and lightweight body with solid build, WiFi remote control from Android devices.
  • Noise in photos, Expensive
  • The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX300 is a very good Wi-Fi-enabled camera as far as performance and features are concerned. The slim design and its incredibly light weight with a solid build makes it an ideal camera to carry around in your entourage. The camera ...

  • Sharp long zoom lens, Full HD video, Compact & light, Excellent image quality, WiFi enabled, Good color reproduction
  • No rubber grip, Lacks macro mode in auto mode, Slow focus at full zoom
  • After taking few pictures and spending some time with DSC-WX300, I felt like, though the camera cost Rs. 18500, still with its 20x optical zoom lens, it manages to get hold of your attention, especially with its picture quality. For some, you will be miss...
