Abstract: Cooler Master are a brand that we are very familiar with at eTeknix and have always been a company that we have focussed on to see what they come up with in the future. Whilst the future is bright, we can't but help look back at the past at a slightly old...
Prolimatech Armageddon The Armageddon is similar in various ways to the Megahalems. The two coolers are constructed in the same manner with similar materials, the weight is within an ounce of one another, and they share the same superb mounting system...
Very quiet, even on high, Fan can be changed very easily, Multiple platform means you can upgrade without buying a new cooler, Includes a simple fan speed controller
Priced on par with "elite" air coolers and water cooling solutions, Installation is more difficult than really needs to be
All in all, the Cooler Master V8 holds it's own with the best air cooler we've seen so far - the Prolimatech Megahalems. With only a degree or two separating these two performance wise, I dare say it's a wash. Both are very good at cooling even at extr...
Abstract: Video Review: The Cooler Master V8 CPU Cooler s rather large measuring 120 x 128 x 161.1mm and weighs a heavy 865g. So when transporting the case be very careful, otherwise it might damage the motherboard and/or CPU. Note that this cooler is designed to cool the faster CPUs on the market, including the Intel Quad Core processors. The CPU Thermal Design Power or Thermal Design Point specification for this cooler is 180W. is 180W. The heatsink is a combination of aluminum and copper (Note that the copper heatpipes and base are all nickel plated). The aluminum fins are connected by copper heatpipes which connect into a solid base. This nickel plated copper base is extremely smooth which allows excellent contact between it and the CPU. This cooler is the next best thing to water cooling! Watch the video to find out more...

Looking at the cooling performance alone, the V8 is an exceptional product producing consistent results at both stock and overclocked speeds and beating all the competition to stake its claim as the best CPU cooler, to date, in terms of the figures, th...
Abstract: The Intel Core i7 platform includes a larger CPU socket that forces you to get a new CPU cooler. The task of picking out the right cooler can be daunting, so we figured that we'd give you all the information in one article to make the task of findin...
Abstract: The stock fan at full speed provides plenty of airflow and allows the V8 to close in on the Hyper 212, but not quite catching up performance/noise wise. At low speed the stock fan is noticeable less noisy, performance is ok at best. Equipped with the GlobalWin..
As we have just seen, the Cooler Master V8 is a nice cooler with an original design. It fits on the latest sockets on the market as well as the older ones, that is the Socket 1366 from Intel, Socket 775 as well as the sockets 754, 939, 940 and AM2 from...
