  • The underlying performance of the HD 4870 and 1GB of GDDR 5 is impressive but there are legions of these cards on the market and they cost less than the £200-odd HIS wants for the HD 4870 IceQ 4+ Turbo. We cant see much reason to pay a premium for th...

  • The 4870 is a card which virtually begs to be overclocked with a third party cooler installed and HIS have gone and done just that. The card comes overclocked out of the box with the IceQ 4+ custom cooler. With a 770MHz core and 1GB of GDDR5 memory ru...

  • Clearly, the HIS HD 4870 IceQ 4+ Turbo is a big step up from the NVIDIA 8800 GTX. I realized long before undertaking the review that the results would sometimes be ugly for the 8800, but that was not the point of this review. What we are trying to ill...

  • The HIS Radeon HD 4870 IceQ 4+ Turbo has turned out to be a rather typical Radeon HD 4870 (1GB) graphics card in terms of performance and its physical design. At best users can expect a 3fps boost over standard Radeon HD 4870 graphics cards from the me...

  • 1 GB of GDDR5 memory, Good overclocking potential, Low power consumption, Overclocked out of the box, Stalker Clear Sky full game included
  • Fan control bug, HD 4870 512 MB offers much better performance/dollar, No support for CUDA / PhysX
  • The HIS HD 4870 IceQ4+ Turbo is a solid choice for everybody looking for something that goes beyond HD 4870 reference design. The addition of 512 MB GDDR5 for a total of one gig certainly helps in recent games at higher resolutions. Even though it is f...
