  • Abstract:  Solid-state storage may be sexy, but if you're looking for huge capacity and tiny prices, then the classic hard disk remains unbeaten. Available capacities of portable drives with laptop-style disks inside now extends up to a whopping 4000GB, more commonl...

  • Abstract:  We're still waiting for some truly great external hard drive Black Friday deals to surface (it's only a matter of time), but this Western Digital My Passport is a pretty good one to get started with. Delivering a 4TB of storage in a tiny footprint and wei...

  • Tiny, Great performance
  • Still more expensive than the competition, Would prefer a black color option
  • Adata's highlighted unique selling point here is the use of a USB 3.1 Gen 2 connector, but sadly this position is without any merit as the SE730H still uses SATA technology which is limited. A move towards NVMe would solve that, but would also significant...

  • Typically if you want a tiny, high-capacity drive you have to sacrifice performance, but not with the SE730. It really is a pocket rocket, and well worth the price if you need speedy portable storage....

  • Small and compact, Very fast, IP68 dust and waterproof, Military-grade shockproof
  • Only comes with a Type-C cable, Waterproofing only works when compartment is closed
  • I seriously love these little external solid state drives. First off they give you awesome capacities in such a small form factor. Being so small they are easy to throw in your pocket, backpack, or laptop bag. Also being so small they are perfect for trav...

  • We were quite taken with Adata's weather-resistant SD700 when it graced our test bench, but that drive couldn't compete with the incredible speeds and absurdly small footprint of Samsung's T5 portables. With the SE730H, however, Adata has closed the perf...

  • Excellent performance, Solid metal build with a slick design, Unique cover seal protects against the elements
  • Water-proof capabilities depends on side cover
  • With its solid design and excellent performance, the tiny SE730H is an impressive release by ADATA and makes a great companion for the professional on the go...

  • Rugged, waterproof shell, Compact size, Not wildly expensive, given the capacity, One of few USB 3.1 Gen 2-compliant external drives you can buy, Slight speed edge if used with USB 3.1 Gen 2
  • Only available in one capacity (for now), Performs well, but not much of a jump beyond USB 3.0 external SSDs
  • The ADATA SE730 external SSD is durable, fast, and compact, making it a terrific portable storage device. We can't wait for it in a higher capacity. Read More...

  • Compact enclosure that's water/dust/shockproof. Strong single large file download speeds.
  • A bit slower, pricier and cheaper feeling than Samsung's T3, which also comes in more capacities.
  • We're not sure what to make of ADATA's new portable SSD. The company came out swinging with claims of its drive being faster and better than Samsung's T3 series. That's a tall order and they ultimately fell short on delivery.Perhaps the biggest issue...

  • Incredibly lightweight and compact, Dust-, water-, and shockproof, Can be used with phones and tablets, Reasonable price,
  • Slow transfer rates over USB 3.0 for an SSD, USB cable catches on port cover's lip, USB-C-to-USB-C cable not included
  • The ADATA SE730 is a compact, ruggedized solid-state drive that delivers speedy transfers over USB-C. But its design is a little fussy and it doesn't come with a USB-C-to-USB-C cable...
