  • Great performance, Excellent design, easy to use
  • Not upgradeable to 802.11n, no QoS support, Only 90 days of free phone support
  • The RangeMax 240 is a great router, with excellent performance and very good features, usability, and design. But its Airgo technology will never be upgradable to the 802.11n standard.

  • Pricey Connectivity only through USB adaptor and PC card Not enough compatibility options
  • When it comes down to it, you have a really nice looking router that improves performance and is fast. However, Netgear needs more devices that can take advantage of the RangeMax 240’s speeds and a PCI card adapter. That problem combined with the hi...

  • Abstract:  Netgear’s WPNT834 is prettier than Linksys’ WRT54GX, which uses the same Airgo True MIMO Gen3 chipset, but this ain’t no beauty contest. Equipped with comparatively stubby antennae (3.5 inches, compared with the Linksys’ 5-inch aerials), this router/wi...

  • Great speed and range, good overall feature set
  • Costly
  • Netgears RangeMax 240 blasts data at 100 Mbps over short distances, and still manages tremendous throughput at longer distances. If youre looking to get the highest performance possible from your wireless router, look no further....

  • The Netgear RangeMax 240 router provided middling speeds at long range in our tests and lacks wall-mounting brackets for more mounting options.
  • Though the Netgear WPNT834 RangeMax 240 provides phenomenal throughput at short range, it doesnt deliver on MIMOs promise of fantastic long-range performance. Price range: $46.00

  • Comes into its own in mixed-mode environments with extremely fast throughput rates. Three adjustable antennas. Shipped with a comprehensive user manual. Firewall security.
  • Speeds dropped off rapidly in the distance tests.
  • Tremendous throughput at short range but rapid speed decline over longer distances.
