The HP Envy 13 is a great laptop for those who want something portable, good-looking, long-lasting and able to play games almost improbably well for such a slight machine. It's more expensive than the Lenovo IdeaPad 720S or Acer Switch 3, but is far better...

Great battery life, small footprint, USB Type-C and full-size ports, very good value, surprisingly decent gaming performance from GeForce MX150 discrete graphics
'Floating' touchpad, screen doesn't rival a MacBook or Dell XPS, off/on keyboard backlight
The HP Envy 13 is all the laptop most people need for a very compelling price. It can do things several pricier options simply can't, largely thanks to its built-in discrete graphics card. You'll still have to fiddle with resolutions and graphics settings...

Overall, the HP Envy 13 is a bit of a mixed bag. It's great to look at, but it doesn't necessarily hold up under closer scrutiny. I found the keyboard, in particular, disappointing to use for prolonged periods, and its performance isn't what it could be g...
Lightweight and portable, Unconventional, appealing and simplistic design, Excellent input devices, A good set of I/O including two USB-C 3.1 connectors supporting DisplayPort, Decent IPS display with wide sRGB coverage and high contrast, Long battery lif
Glossy finish and insufficient maximum brightness for comfortable work outdoors, Build quality could be better (a bit too flexible), Display uses aggressive PWM from 0 to 99% brightness (our Health-Guard profile fixes that)
HP's Envy 13 brings a high-end design to the mid-range ultrabook segment but is this enough to sway you away from the generally more powerful competitors?Of course, build quality is essential and some users won't be happy with the flexible interior but we...
A 13.3” screen in a 12” chassis. Reasonably light at 1.3kg. Premium finishes – exudes quality and the metal chassis is a bonus. Good keyboard and average trackpad
Poor web cam shows too much noise even in office lighting. Battery life is OK but charge time is a little long. Unable to charge with a standard USB-C 5V/3A charger (yet it has USB-C ports that must only support downstream charging)
The Envy brand is for those who want something better. Instead of a base model car they splurge for leather seats and some go-fast parts. That is how I feel about the Envy 13 – it has some better parts but under the skin, it is still a consumer grade noteb...

The Envy brand is for those who aspire to something a little better – they will buy the premium XL version of a “Camry” every time knowing they get a reliable car with a few extra bells and whistles. That is how I feel about the Envy 13 – it has some bette...
"We're mightily impressed with this entry-level ultraportable. Not only is it built well and looks great, the immaculate screen is even better than many machines twice the price."...

Abstract: The new HP Envy 13 ultrabook is a class act that will attract its fair share of envious gazes.Decked in matte silver with a stylish HP logo on its lid, the Envy did not catch my eye initially. But it did not take long for me to spot its shiny chrome spine...
