  • Clear, detailed sound, Unusual design, Handles high sound volume without distortion
  • Lacks extras like headphone jack and remote, Can't turn off glowing light
  • They may look like they're from outer space, but the Harman Kardon SoundSticks III are grounded in real-world performance. Aesthetics aside, critics and consumers alike praise the superior sound quality and formidable low end. Minor quibbles hinge on the ...

  • The Harman Kardon SoundSticks III 2.1 speakers equip music lovers with four drivers in each satellite and a large subwoofer to pump extra bass
  • There's no external jack for plugging in headphones, the bass controls are mounted on the subwoofer itself, and there's no way to turn off the translucent lighting without powering down the entire system
  • The $170 SoundSticks III speakers offer light cosmetic upgrades (and unfortunately retain a few irritations) from the previous model, but if you're a fan of the iridescent design, this speaker system won't disappoint.

  • The elegant, curvy visual appearance of the Soundsticks III is a little at odds with the aggressive sonic tone. However, the sound from the set was patchy, and some elements of the design weren't as clean as we'd want from something so visually striking...

  • Abstract:  The included hardwired cables, which connect the two 10-by-2-inch circular speakers to each other and to the 10.2-by-9.2-inch subwoofer, are much hardier and better looking this time around—a shiny, braided cable is snaked through a transparent casing...

  • Excellent audio performance. Unique—and now classic—design. Powerful, with strong subwoofer. Improved cable quality.
  • No remote control. Bass volume control is on subwoofer itself. Semi-hardwired cables—if cables fail, system needs to be repaired or replaced.
  • The Harman Kardon SoundSticks III is mainly a cosmetic upgrade of previous models, and a subtle one at that, but this 2.1-channel PC speaker set remains our Editors' Choice. Buy it now...

  • extravagantes Design, guter Klang,
