The editors didn't like
The MP640 is probably a bit of overkill for the average home user
And the downside of its flexibility is that some features may end up never being used. And while the MP600 series has generally aged well
The interface is starting to look dated
And we won't be surprised to see an overhauled touchscreen interface finding its way into Canon's next wave of releases.
Display not touchscreen
Colours not very accurate on scanner
Blackandwhite photo prints look pink
Printing speeds plummet (by three times!) when printing doublesided
Abstract: Currently occupying a portion of my available workspace is the Canon PIXMA MP640. This is an All-in-One device that offers print, scan and copy capabilities while giving you a choice of USB or 802.11bg WLAN connectivity when connecting to your computer...

Abstract: You could be forgiven for not noticing Canon's new range of PIXMA all-in-one printers, as they all look very similar to their predecessors. Slightly different lines in their silver and black cases are probably not enough to distinguish them from last year...
Abstract: Canon's feature-packed Pixma MP640 has both wired and wireless networking, memory card slots, a CD-printing tray, two 150-sheet paper trays and an automatic duplexer. The 3in colour screen makes it easy to use features such as copying, direct printi...
Abstract: Verdict: This feature-packed multifunction device delivers on all fronts, making it an excellent choice for families with multiple PCs. Multifunction peripherals tend to cost less than separate printers and scanners, but the MP640 takes a different ...
Abstract: The MP640's ChromaLife100 ink system may not be high fidelity with light magenta, light cyan (or even red and green) inks, but it does include four dye-based inks (black, yellow, cyan and magenta) and a pigment-based black text ink. Print lo...
The Canon PIXMA MP640 is a sharply designed printer that could be a great fit in many different environments. It is a 3-in-1 device that can scan-to a USB flash drive or automatically print a double sided at a touch of a button.Having said that, I wou...
