The editors liked

  • Handsome design
  • Reasonable price
  • Good multitasking
  • HP Pivot is great
  • WebOS. Cards is without question our favorite multitasking solution. Swiping your finger from the bottom to top of the screen turns an active application into a “card”. A second swipe closes out the app. Holding your finger down on the card allows you to arrange the application or “stack”. By stacking similar applications you are able to organize dozens of open apps much easier than on iOS

  • Performance is inconsistent
  • Screen is a dim
  • Fingerprint-tastic
  • No video-out
  • The build quality and sluggish user interface
  • Expensive considering lack of 3G

  • Chunky and heavy

  • Smudges easily

  • Dearth of apps. Firing up apps is slow
  • You're unlikely to find one
  • As hordes of bargainhungry consumers have snapped up much of the UK's stock.

  • WebOS is slick, polished and easy to use, excellent messaging and social media integration, great multitasker, solid construction,
  • Heavy and bulky, no rearfacing camera, very limited app selection
  • There is a lot too like about the TouchPad, and most of it is due to the fact that WebOS holds so much promise. Unfortunately, from a hardware standpoint, the TouchPad is way too heavy for our taste – it feels like a beast compared to the iPad 2. Had...

  • Well built, Excellent audio, Snappy and responsive, Wellorganized app catalog, Fast and effective device search
  • webOS not quite ready for largescreen tablets, Display colors a bit off at times, Web browsing sometimes sluggish, No rearfacing camera
  • In just about every respect, I found myself impressed with the TouchPad. It's not perfect by any means, and while I think the hardware (especially the audio) is almost fantastic, webOS isn't quite there yet, at least on the larger screen of a tablet. Adv...

  • Abstract:  Finally, webOS is available in tablet form! Aaron reviews the 16 GB HP TouchPad , and unfortunately, all benefits of webOS are washed out by the fact that the device hangs on a regular basis. While it offers a powerful 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon CPU, 9....

  • Great multitasking & notification systems, Plentiful TouchPad optimized apps in the App Catalog
  • Abundance of performance issues with the platform, Inability to shoot photos & videos, Display is on the dim side
  • To tell you the truth, we sincerely want to absorb and like the HP TouchPad – like seriously, we really do! Unfortunately though, we can’t fully commit to it wholeheartedly because it isn’t up to par, nor polished both in the inside and out versus the ...
