The styling of the Sony PS3 Slim is a 100 per cent improvement on the original PS3. The original console may have been powerful
But it was also big and bloated
And looked out of place when sat alongside the latest slimline HD TVs. The slim Playstation 3 features a much thinner chassis
And also gets a smarter matt black finish. Gaming was always an issue for the original PS3
And this is anothe
Less bulky form factor

Still not quite "cheap"
Flimsy exterior
Cheap drive mechanism
Tough price point
Slightly plasticky feel. Slightly worse CD audio playback. Better games on Xbox 360
Online play still no match for the Xbox Live

The still missing PS2 support
Cheap design

The biggest drawback on the Sony PS3 Slim is the lack of support for older Sony PS2 games. It seems to be completely unnecessary
And fails to take into account the thousands of PS2 owners who plan on upgrading while still wanting to play some of their older games.
Smaller and lighter, Energy efficient design, Comes with a powerful Bluray player, Hard drive can be easily changed, Builtin Bluetooth and WiFi, Faster installation
No real reduction in price, Fiddly disc access, Glossy finishing attract dust over the body, More USB ports should have been added, No Linux
Though most of us have our own viewpoint, for some PS3 Slim does not have much to offer and for some it is a whole new experience. Available in sleek curved simple body design, this new console enables the users to get access to a wide array of entertainm...
Abstract: After several leaks when the Sony Playstation 3 Slim (160 GB) finally got unveiled a month back, it showed up as a good mix of little surprises and a windfall dropped price. Tagged at minimum $249 or INR 12, 260.57, the PS3 has been redesigned to be 36 pe...
Abstract: To the casual observer, there’s nothing particularly slim about the new Sony PlayStation 3’s sleek black housing—it’s only when you compare it with its nearly three-year-old counterpart, the previous-gen PS3, that you see how much smaller it is. The bi...
As Blu-ray players go, the original PS3 was competitive at $400. At $300 with a slimmer profile and lower power consumption, the PS3 Slim (120GB) is arguably the one to beat. Factor in games, social networking features like PlayStation Home, music and...
Abstract: Sony has been under a lot of pressure ever since the PS3s release, the high price point being the prime reason. For years, gamers and developers have tried everything to get a price cut but Sony stood their ground. They believed that they are offering...

Lacks backward support for PS2 games; no infrared port means non-Bluetooth universal remotes arent compatible; online gaming, media, and commerce options still arent as fully developed as Xbox Live, though theyre getting better.
