The editors liked

  • And
  • Can be found for a good price
  • Good potential image quality
  • Easy to use
  • Comes with own dinky UMD movie format. Excellent 4.3in colour widescreen.

The editors didn't like

  • For the PSP at this stage as were still awaiting an official UK release
  • But as this look at the minute
  • Id have to say that the PSP is looking like being the handset of choice for the gamer on the go.
  • Proprietary formats
  • New UMDs overpriced and limited
  • Better with buds than the bundled phones. Max memory a bit of a let-down. Analogue stick not that great for precision.

  • Biggest, sharpest screen on a handheld, Does much more than just play games, Beautiful design, Same button layout as the PS2s Dualshock controller.
  • No builtin harddrive, Rather pricey.
  • Ill be up front and say it right now: I love my PSP. However, I did love my PSP and play with it more than any other handheld (I also have a GBA SP and a DS) before it became my job. As with the PS2, it was Sonys goal to make the PSP more than just a...

  • Abstract:  Imagine, for a moment, a world in which McDonalds wouldnt need to go up against Burger King, or Disney against DreamWorks. A world where Professor Charles Xavier and his X-Men could relax without having to worry about what Magneto might be up to next...

  • Nice large widescreen display, Built in web browser, WiFi capabilities, Easy to use, Ability to play movies and music, Large modding community
  • Some games are hard to control, Not that many good games out there
  • Using the PSP is a lot of fun. It is a great little gadget to have with you anywhere, while youre waiting at the airport, while on your lunch break, even at school! It is very easy to use and the included web browser and WiFi capability is awesome. I...
