The editors liked

  • And
  • Can be found for a good price
  • Good potential image quality
  • Easy to use
  • Comes with own dinky UMD movie format. Excellent 4.3in colour widescreen.

The editors didn't like

  • For the PSP at this stage as were still awaiting an official UK release
  • But as this look at the minute
  • Id have to say that the PSP is looking like being the handset of choice for the gamer on the go.
  • Proprietary formats
  • New UMDs overpriced and limited
  • Better with buds than the bundled phones. Max memory a bit of a let-down. Analogue stick not that great for precision.

  • Huge screen, - Looks good, - Awesome image quality, - Performance performance performance, - Can play both music and video and does it well, - Lots of games at launch
  • High price for a portable console
  • The Sony PSP will undoubtedly be a success. It simply is a very well made and capable portable console that should even get people who have been wary of getting a portable console interested. The price of $250 might feel a bit steep for a portable c...

  • Amazing high res screen, Plenty of grunt for almost PS2-quality gaming, Built-in wireless capability, Stylish design, Decent battery life, UMD Movies look great
  • Only comes with 32MB Memory Stick Duo, Shiny front will turn you into an obsessive cleaner, Limited functionality when it comes to music and photos, Complicated process to transfer your own movies for viewing
  • It looks amazing and plays games and movies just as well. The PSP is an outstanding portable games machine and a decent movie player, but well have to wait for the next version for better music and picture functionality. ...
