  • Abstract:  From its humble roots as a mini-game in Resident Evil 4 & 5 , fan-favorite "Mercenaries Mode" is seeing its first dedicated release. Reflecting the Resident Evil series' shift in focus from survival horror to action-oriented gameplay, Resident Evil: The M...

  • Largely a repackaging of old content, The Mercenaries 3D is a competent co-op shooter that ultimately falls short due to a severe lack of meat on its bones. ...

  • Abstract:  Name: Genre: Platform: Image Gallery: Unlocked after beating the superb Resident Evil 4, The Mercenaries was probably the greatest game-completion reward ever devised. A tense survival mode, it distilled Resident Evil 4's core over-the-shoulder shooti...

  • high replay value, graphics, character rendering, visceral gameplay, shooting mechanics, physics, quick melee attacks, control layout, additional ability to play through levels
  • only one save file, needs more content, some odd animation jumps, no online player leaderboards, more side missions where environments play a bigger role, demo is nice but could use that memory for cutscenes for backstory on each character while relating
