  • Some good puzzles; lots of really bad puns.
  • Ugly, bland environments; sloppy platforming (featuring tightropes of death!); sub-par “parody” plot (Im off the case? I have to turn in my badge and all six of my guns!?); almost impossible to play on original DS; lots of really bad puns.
  • Insecticide melds sloppy platforming/shooter action with lightweight adventure puzzling, cemented together by a derivative pseudo-film-noir plot chock-full of atrocious puns. Swat this one away.

  • Abstract:  A noir detective story featuring a cast of cockroaches, surprisingly good writing, and an interesting mix of platforming and adventure should be reason enough to get excited about Insecticide, but poor execution mars an otherwise ambitious concept.

  • Abstract:  I like a good noir detective story. More than that, I like a healthy dose of postapocalyptic decay. Take both of those things and fit them together in a grungy, weird, stylish adventure game starring a cast of cockroaches and other assorted bugs wearin...

  • Abstract:  Have you ever wished your graphic adventure games had a little more action? Or that your platformers required a bit more puzzle solving? Well, Insecticide is here, kind of a Reeses Peanut Butter Cup of point-and-click and action games. Unfortunately, ...

  • Abstract:  There's lots of adventure-loving gamers out there still pining for the good old days; you, know, back when LucasArts was consistently cranking out point-and-click yarns such as Grim Fandango and Full Throttle. The return of Sam and Max, through GameTap...

  • Abstract:  The past decade has been trying to make bugs out to be some sort of cuddly, hilarious force. Films like Bee Movie, Ant Bully, and A Bugs Life have soiled the good name of insects everywhere. Enter Crackpot Entertainment , a new developer who is set to...
