  • Abstract:  Konami Classics Series Arcade Hits is a great compilation of old-school, classic arcade games. Yes, there are a few weaklings in the litter, but each game is delivered as close to perfection as can be expected on a handheld system. You're probably already...

  • Abstract:  Now this is how a compilation should be done. The Nintendo DS is a decidedly old-school system. Lets face it, its not trying to be a cutting-edge portable powerhouse like Sonys PSP, lending itself more to upgrades of classic 2D games than pushing l...

  • Abstract:  The scent of stale cigarettes, the chirrup of broken electronics, dried gum on thinly-carpeted floors, and the creepy middle-aged dude in the corner playing Ms. Pac-Man – it can only be the games arcade. Times are changing and such arcades are becom...

  • Abstract:  As a hardcore gamer who embraced the next-generation of consoles and games with open arms, I’m also grateful to find the classics still available in some form or another whether they’re downloaded online or packaged in a collection for console...

  • Portable Contra and Gradius; the other games are pretty much all fun, too; lots of multiplayer options.
  • The vertically aligned games look bad squashed; playing with a vertical system is uncomfortable.
  • Back in 2002, Konami released a collection of its classic arcade games for GBA. Konami Collectors Series: Arcade Advanced contained six games, and each one had extra goodies that were activated by entering the famous Konami code (like enhanced graphic...

  • Picture perfect conversions are backed up by a user-friendly selection system and the best additional system functions seen on a retro collection. The two player wi-fi capabilities make the Collection shine.
  • An unlimited number of credits for each game severely hampers any longevity or replay value for the entire collection.
  • While you certainly won’t be disappointed with the quality of the conversions or the usability of the collection, the games prolonged existence has almost deliberately been removed by the addition of infinite credits.
