Abstract: The original PC blood-fest Painkiller returns to dish out more punishment on the Xbox. Hell Wars is a classic run-and-gun shooter that hardcore Quake fans will die for, but the repetitive gameplay and linear levels will rapidly exhaust the casual gamer.
Huge boss battles and a constant swarm of enemies; twenty very different levels; moderate replay value for both single and multiplayer modes.
Levels play out all the same; only six weapon choices; slowdown in frame rate when action gets intense; graphics feel outdated.
Blood, gore and lots of body parts make up ninety percent of this game and for this kind of an FPS, it should. This game is a nice little shooter that shouldn’t be passed over without being given a second glance.
