  • A GPS device means navigation for most people. However, this is only a nice bi-product and not the core application of the Edge. The unit can be loaded with more than one microSD card, yet be aware of the fact that the navigation software can only be...

  • The Garmin Edge 705 offers a beautiful color display and more features than any other bike GPS device,
  • It doesn’t have a touchscreen or the ability to read temperature like many other Garmin cycle computers.
  • Our top choice for bicycle GPS units, the Edge 705 is intuitive, well designed and has key features no serious biker would go without....

  • To get detailed street maps, you will need to buy an optional map of North America on SD card ($99) or buy the $650 version of the 705 (there are three versions of the 705) that comes with the map, heart rate monitor, and cadence monitor. See more detail...

  • Detailed maps and directions are spoton. GPS reception is excellent even in heavily wooded areas. Software and web app integration are a boon to digit crunchers.
  • Needs capability for more than three bikes. CDROM user manual needs more detail. Should come with a glarefree screen skin. Must run the battery all the way down before the first charge or youll only get about three hours of use.
