This is an attractive sound bar that is an excellent pairing for flat panels 42 inches or less, with a good approximation of a true surround sound experience, Because you are getting the feeling of five speakers from one, you don't need multiple speakers and the associated wiring that clutter up your room,
You need a receiver to pair with this sound bar. While Definitive Technology poses this as a plus, if you're looking for a complete home theater system in one package, this isn't it, For added bass, you'll need a subwoofer. Definitive Technology recommends their entrylevel ProSub 800 ($399).
