Streams audio wirelessly from Apple OS devices and iTunes via AirPlay. Sound projects in two directions, making it easy to fill a room. Rechargeable ring can be removed from the base and moved from room to room. Interesting visual design.
Distorts heavily on deep bass tracks at high volumes. Annoying set-up process. Switching between AirPlay and physically connected sound sources can be tricky. Overpriced for its performance
The good-looking Philips Fidelio SoundRing offers decent audio quality at moderate levels, but it doesn't perform like a $300 speaker system....

The speaker was a little tricky to set up for AirPlay use and the manual could be more clearly written. The speaker's also fairly pricey
While it's a bit overpriced, Philips Fidelio SoundRing is one of the better compact AirPlay speakers we've tested -- and it has a battery-powered option to boot.
