Almost unbelievable screen uniformity, Excellent black levels, Really good contrast performance, Superb Smart TV features, Current pricing is keen
Shallow viewing angles, Input latency could be lower
You could do a lot worse, that's for sure and with the current online pricing (October 2014), this TV represents really good value. The H6400 has a winning combination of features, design and picture quality that is rivalled by few in this price bracket...
Good 3D images, Accurate colours (average Delta E = 2,3), Good contrast ratio (3380:1), Effective motion compensation function, Two remotes, including one with a very practical touchpad, Media player supports numerous video formats

Smart Hub with a selection of catch-up TV services, sharp and colour-rich HD picture performance, crowd-pleasing design, reasonable audio performance for the size
Some picture presets and Motion Plus modes are too artefact ridden, Soccer mode images look downright ugly, crosstalk-addled 3D, awaiting iPlayer and Demand 5 (due in future)
Overall, the Samsung UE40H6400 is an alluring 40-inch telly. It combines a sharp, contrasty high definition image with a well stocked Smart Hub and selection of apps and catch-up services. There are some other caveats, however, such as BBC iPlayer...
