  • Its a faff to set up and use, and were not convinced of the Buffalo LinkTheater s HD capabilities. But the Buffalo LinkTheater has plenty going for it. Lincoln Spector Lowest online price: £N/A ...

  • Abstract:  While many manufacturers try to make their network media receivers look like slick hi-fi components, Buffalo has made its latest LinkTheater indistinguishable from many wireless routers. This bland silver box would look more at home next to your tel...

  • While HD-ready TV enthusiasts might bemoan the lack of options for their super-sets, this is an otherwise sturdy option for streaming media to your living room. Its the easiest to set up and use that weve seen to date, though it doesnt add any excep...

  • This is an interesting product. Once the bugs are ironed out, the LinkTheater will surpass the Netgear EVA700 for features and price. The LinkStation Live is a good match for it, and is worth buying even if its multimedia capabilities aren't required....

  • Abstract:  When I reviewed the Buffalo LinkTheater mini last year (which has since been discontinued), it was the first network multimedia device Id seen in the sub $100 range. But even though the mini was cheap, I judged it missed the mark by making too many co...

  • Difficult to set up, Not really highdefinitioncapable
  • This is a great audio server that happens to connect to your TV. Other products stream video better, though.

  • Streams movies, music, and photos using wireless 802.11g or wired Ethernet; handles DRM-protected WMAs; reliable wireless streaming performance; capable of outputting multichannel Dolby Digital sound; outputs video and images at resolutions up to 720p.
  • No HDMI or DVI output; no 802.11n Wi-Fi; doesnt support Rhapsody or iTunes-purchased songs, nor even non-DRM iTunes tracks; cant play Internet radio streams without using PC as a conduit; its interface is sluggish, sometimes painfully slow; the unit ...
  • Although it offers reliable streaming, the Buffalo LinkTheater Wireless-A&G PC-P4LWAG is ultimately hampered by its sluggish navigation, limited feature set, and other quirks.

  • If the Buffalo LinkTheater Wireless-A&G was £50 I would forgive all its foibles and recommend it as a great purchase for anyone with an older TV that just wants a simple way to playback their media. However, it in fact costs around three times that amount...

  • Stream media off any PC wirelessly, Front accessible USB port, Component out, Optical out, Very compact, Plays videos with very little buffer time, Supports many different video formats
  • Sluggish menus, Unable to resume video after it has been stopped, Unable to make a playlist of videos, Unable to scroll through photos in fullscreen, Directory listing could use some work
  • With media becoming more and more available to the consumer you will see a lot of these devices popping up. Buffalo has done a great job on this device. It is able to stream media of any computer in your network, wirelessly. You can easily plug a flas...
