Closedcell EVA foam back pad opens up plenty of airflow, is nigh indestructible and wont get all funktified from back sweat. Velcro straps are easy to roll up.
Squishy back pad inexplicably bumps and pokes the lower lumbar. When fully loaded, side water bottle pockets are hard to use.
