In all honesty, the 48 megapixel camera on here might not be used a great deal. If you leave it on this setting you'll get no zoom, no HDR+ and no effects. You'll be switching it down to 12 megapixels (in 43) or 9 megapixels (in 169) pretty quickly. Altho...

The Asus ZenFone 6 may seem just as odd as the Asus ROG Phone at first. It has an ambitious motorized camera likely to win ‘cool tech gadget' and ‘most likely to get damaged one day' prizes. Its appeal is wider than the ROG Phone's, though. The ZenFone 6's...
The Asus ZenFone 6 is one of our favourite smartphones of 2019; rather than following the trend of notches and hole-punch camera cutouts, Asus has implemented an innovative Flip Camera system that provides a high-end shooting experience on the rear and fr...
Familiar camera hardware that's made or broken by softwareSony's sizeable 1/2-inch 48-megapixel IMX586 is the main camera sensor on the ZenFone 6, but it's also found on the Honor View 20, Xiaomi Mi 9, OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, Motorola One Vision, the a...

Abstract: Eager YouTube followers may have seen my late-night unboxing last night. However, I've now added a far better version so that you can see what this phone is all about. Before that though, if you want one, you need to head to the Asus online store. This o...
Abstract: Of course, that’s not to say we haven’t seen any attempts at eliminating this problem already. Solutions such as screen notches, vibrating displays and pop-up cameras have all been put forward, but oftentimes these aren’t implemented as well as we’d initi...

The Asus Zenfone 6 is an unexpectedly impressive flagship from a company that's an underdog in the smartphone world. But just because Asus isn't a major player in terms of volume can't take away from what the Zenfone 6 represents: it feels like a reset; a...

Abstract: Fancy a larger screen? Forget the expensive iPhone 6 Plus, Holly Brockwell gets her hands on two Android phablet smartphones – ie devices with screens larger than 5inches. These include the 5.5inch OnePlus One ( which is the same size as the iPhone6 Plus) and the even larger 6inch ASUS ZenFone6. Both will set you back between £250 and £300 without a contract...
