Great design
Affordable price
Good display
Excellent battery life
MicroSD support
Raw Android 4.4 operating system
Great sound
It took a few years
But Motorola has finally left its “edgy” Batman-esque designs and needless Kevlar coating behind. It was needlessly macho
And more than a bit ugly. Like the Moto G and Moto X before it however
The Moto E is a handsome phone
If nothing more
With smooth lines and an uncluttered front face
With a colourful 4.3-inch screen (bigger than an iPhone’s). It’s reminiscent of Palm’
Un-skinned Android 4.4.2 Kitkat

The editors didn't like
No flash or front camera
Non
Removable battery
Terrible internal storage
Battery life
Camera
Horrible sound quality
Heavy body
No front camera
Charger not included(!)
Iffy camera
Not made for games
No 4G
Like its predecessor
Camera quality disappoints. The processor also occasionally struggles to keep up with more hardware-intensive tasks
Like gaming
Its camera and battery life don't impress and it isn't much less than the Moto G
Which remains the best Android bargain around
Underwhelming camera
Lower powered than we'd like
Disappointing main camera
Screen's great but not HD
Tiny internal storage. Occasionally feels a little slow. No 4G. Average rear camera and no frontfacer
Poor camera
Low-spec CPU
Low internal storage
Camera is average
Only 8GB of storage
No front-facing camera
Terrible rear camera
Slow performance/loading at times
Limited internal storage
No 4G connectivity
Motorola’s had to keep the Moto E lean to keep the price down
And that means a few compromises
Though they’re not also surprises. For starters
There’s only 4GB of storage on board
Leaving a pretty measly amount of space for apps after the Android OS install - it’s not a huge problem since you can store apps on your SD card
But you may find yourself moving apps over in the settings more than
Screen is lacking compared to the Moto G
Performance can stutter
Limited storage
Low-end CPU
No 4G LTE
4GB of internal storage is not enough
Crappy rear cam
No front cam
Screen has poor viewing angles
Battery cover rattles
No NFC
Low memory storage
Camera is not great
Poor 5MP rearfacing camera and no frontfacing selfie snapper

Abstract: Xiaomi, the Chinese mobile phone manufacturer launched Redmi 1S in India at a price of INR 6,999 which was exactly same as the online price of Moto E. But as the flash sale of Redmi 1S was announced recently the price has been slashed to INR 5,999. A comp...

Excellent value for money. Comfortable design houses a decent display. Performance from the Snapdragon 200 SoC is better than expected. Stock Android leaves the bloat at home.
Fixedfocus camera is often unusable. Limited internal storage.
Over the years testing and reviewing smartphones, I haven’t used a device that retailed for under $130 at launch that was actually decent. Until I tried out the Moto E, that is. The Moto E isn’t a device suited to power users. It isn’t a device for peopl...

Motorola has rested its hat on delivering the most phone possible for the least money necessary. The company cut corners on the Moto X and focused on software, then cut even more corners with the Moto G and focused on price. With the Moto E, it's raced to...

ZOMG CHEAP! Water resistant and a damn near smashproof body. This phone is harder to kill than Steven Seagal. Great, solid handfeel. Variety of color options
Selfie hater: Lousy back side camera, and no front side camera at all. 4GB of storage is not enough to even store all my apps

Competing on price is a tough business. The race to the bottom end has seen firms like Huawei and ZTE flourish, though perhaps not in the US where Motorola at least has brand advantage. The $129 Moto E is ambitious in a similar way to the Moto G, underc...

The Moto E almost seems like buying a phone from 2011 that is still in an unopened box. The DROID Bionic might just be the best comparison, but in terms of pure specs, it probably was a better phone since it sported a front-facing camera, had more interna...
More cannot be expected for 119 Euros. Bullseye for Lenovo (again). It seems to be so easy to sell numerous smartphones Just provide a highly capable device with decent build quality and a low price. Then again, this may not be so easy to do, as many smart...
Abstract: "At-a-glance review of Motorola's budget smartphone, the Moto E"The Moto G is a device that offers superb value for money, and has been quite a success for Motorola. With the KitKat-toting dual-SIM Moto E, the brand is now attempting to create similar rip...

Runs an almost untouched version of Android 4.4.2, The vivid screen is a pleasant surprise, Rounded design makes for comfy gripping, Incredibly affordable
Only 4GB of internal storage, Rear camera is mediocre at best, No flash or front-facing camera
There's no two ways about it -- the Moto E is exciting, if not in the way most mobile buffs would like. You really shouldn't underestimate the sort of world-shaking power that can come from making something that's both very good and very cheap. So what if...
