The Samsung Galaxy Fame’s build won’t blow you away
It’s a stubbier version of the same plastic pebble-shaped design the South Korean pioneered - or arguably underwhelmed us with - with the Samsung Galaxy S3. But modestly sized screens (think less than four inches) like this don’t come along that often these days
And if you know you prefer something petite
It’s something to seriously consider.
Pleasing 5-megapixel camera
Solid construction
Android 4.1 with Samsung TouchWiz UI
Good range of Android features
Good camera for the price
Android 4.1 is fast and featurepacked

While the performance and software of the Samsung Galaxy Fame are every bit as good
If not superior to all of Huawei and ZTE’s efforts at the same price point
The screen is a little bit wanting. At a mere 320x480
It’s low resolution even for such a small screen
Just to give you some idea
This is the same resolution that the very first Android phone

Samsung’s Galaxy Fame sadly offers too little for the asking price. Performance is laggy, the dinky screen is disappointingly low-resolution and battery life is barely average. Rival devices such as the LG Optimus L5 II and Huawei’s Ascend G510 give you a...

High quality design, Impressive camera, Premium features (TouchWiz Nature UX, NFC, front-facing camera etc)
Terrible screen, Disappointing battery life, Expensive, TouchWiz too heavy
So, does the Samsung Galaxy Fame hold up? Well, yes and no. It certainly gets points for style, and anyone pining for the halcyon days of flip phones might like the form factor. On the other hand, its relatively poor performance and less-than-beautiful ...
Handy design, Solid casing, Screen's high brightness, Cool even during load
Narrow viewing angles, Low contrast, Only middling performance, Preinstalled bloatware
Will Samsung's Galaxy Fame soon be a little star that everyone desires? Its stylish casing's solid build, handy design, the screen's high brightness and current low street price of approximately 150 Euros (~$197) that includes a 5 megapixel camera and LED...
Low-end Android smartphones are never perfect, but they aren't really meant to be. Rather, these handsets need to be just good enough to suit the needs of budget-conscious consumers. Does the Samsung Galaxy Fame fit the bill? Well, based on our experi...
Difficult texting, Lowres screen, Poor camera for 5MP
The Samsung Galaxy Fame is another Galaxy handset designed to sit towards the bottom of the range, competing in the challenging budget smartphone market. This leaves it to play against the likes of the LG Optimus L3 2, the Nokia Lumia 520 and Samsung's ot...
