Poor camera, Video processing is overdone, Feels oversized for phone use
Even if its size does appeal, its poor video performance takes away one of the putative advantages of its USP in one fell swoop. And while music fares better, its camera is a disappointment too....
Abstract: New technology has allowed our phones to get smaller and smaller, so it might be considered strange that one of the new big trends is for 'phablets'. These smartphones feature screens so big that they could easily double as fully-functioning tablets (henc...
Great big screen is great for movies, Loves bath time, Oodles of power, Sexy looks
Poor camera, ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE
The Xperia Z Ultra is a sleek, well-built super-phablet that blends together power, a premium build and a superb display to create a device that really can act as both a small tablet and smartphone. Once you get used to its huge size (and learn to not a...
The Xperia Z Ultra is definitely not a device that everyone should rush out and buy but it is an exceptionally useful and wonderfully executed device. Going back to a standard (5 inch) phone for every day use has really proved how good the Z Ultra is and...
Abstract: The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 , HTC One Max and Nokia Lumia 1520 are all big phones, but Sony has just out done the lot with the Xperia Z Ultra. See all smartphone reviews . The phablet has a whopping 6.4in display so is closer to the size of a Nexus 7 than...
The Sony Xperia Z Ultra is a nicely made device but doesn't represent good value for money. The phablet is extremely unwieldy and doesn't have a great camera. Sony would have been better off making this a 7in tablet rather than a 6.4in phone.>> Read on…Pa...

A little too big for putting in your pocket
Compared to other smartphones on the market - such as the iPhone - the Z Ultra is hard to beat if you're looking for a great multimedia handset. If you are looking for a tablet as well as a handset but don't want to carry around two devices, the Xperia Z U...

Bright, bold screen is great for movies; Very powerful; Waterproof
Immense size makes it very cumbersome; Unimpressive battery life; Older version of Android; Camera isn't great
The Sony Xperia Z Ultra has a great screen and loads of power, plus it won't die if you drop it in the bath. Its gargantuan size, however, is likely to make it impractical for most people to use as an everyday phone....
The 6.4-inch Sony Xperia Z Ultra is the biggest, baddest Android smartphone you'll find, but it takes things to such a ridiculous extreme, we're not even sure it qualifes as a phone....
