  • Great image quality; good build quality and design; great focusing performance in video mode; suitable for any type of photographer
  • While it's relatively easy to use, the menu system can take a while to get used to; video footage looks choppy if you move the camera too much while filming; auto modes had a tendency to overexpose
  • The Panasonic LUMIX DMC-GH2 is a Micro Four Thirds camera that offers a plethora of features for advanced photographers to play with, but it also has an automatic mode so that inexperienced users can also get in on all the fun. Its image quality is great...

  • Abstract:  Although it was announced at Photokina 2010, we only received a review unit for the Panasonic GH2 at the end of January, which is a pity as this camera has plenty to offer to Photo Review readers. Replacing the DMC-GH1, it offers higher resolution and ...

  • Excellent video quality; articulating display with generally good touchscreen interface; variable frame-rate movie mode.
  • Annoying AVCHD-imposed limitations for video; no way to lock AF area on touch screen; middling battery life.

  • Versatile for stills and video, Ability to shoot at true 50fps, Touchscreen LCD is responsive and complementary in use, Quick and accurate autofocus, Better lownoise performance, New Cinema mode shoots 1080/24p at a high 24Mbps
  • ISO still stuck at ISO16003200 as upper usable limit for images, 1080/50i bitrate limited to 17Mbps
  • The Panasonic GH2 is perhaps the most 'layered' camera we've reviewed. At its most basic level, it works well as an advanced consumer model; switch on iA mode and anybody can use it as both a photo and video camera. Unfold the GH2 however, and you can rig...
