  • If you're looking for a new Ultrabook with a touch screen, you could do worse than the ASUS VivoBook S400CA. It's relatively light and compact, and while we would have preferred a resolution higher than 1366x768, ASUS isn't pricing this as a high-end mo...

  • sleek, solid built, decent keyboard and trackpad, snappy, comes with a touchscreen, fair price
  • a rather poor panel was used for the screen, there's plenty of bloatware preinstalled
  • The Asus S400CA is one of the best affordable ultrabooks that offer a touchscreen right now and it's overall a solid machine, despite having some more or less annoying traits....

  • This model is very much about the Windows 8 experience. It looks good, the touchscreen works superbly, and the laptop is itself light and nimble. As an overall system, the Asus is a model you'll want to come back to. ...

  • Solid performance for a low price, Useful preinstalled software, Touch-screen capabilities, Strong overall package
  • Poor battery life, Lackluster display, Slightly shallow keys
  • The Asus VivoBook S400CA isn't flashy, but it's a surprisingly capable laptop that just happens to be the lowest-priced touch-screen notebook we've tested yet. Travelers will be disappointed by its brief battery life, however. ...

  • HDMI and VGA. Quick bootup from caching drive. Inexpensive price. Full ultrabook specs. Ten point Touch screen. Full sized Ethernet port. Solid screen for touch.
  • Two USB 2.0 ports. Only one USB 3.0 port. Must use Fn key for vol/brightness/etc. Could use more battery life. Keyboard not backlit. Only 2.4GHz WiFi
  • The Asus VivoBook S400CA-UH51 is one of the least expensive ways to get a fully functional Windows 8 ultrabook. It's a touch-screen ultrabook that gets the pricing and feature set right....

  • The ASUS S400CA Touch Ultrabook seems like quite a good deal on the surface: $699 buys a touch screen, Windows 8, an attractive design and good battery life. We found it also bought a solid selection of ports, reasonable build quality and relatively good ...
