This probably sounds obvious
But the iPad mini really is mini. So much so that you can hold it with one hand. This is true of its seven inch rivals as well as the iPad mini
But it’s still worth bearing in mind
A 7.9-inch iPad is much smaller compared to a 9.7-inch iPad than it sounds in paper. Close to half the size
In fact.This
Combined with Apple’s epic design
Makes it a truly lustworthy
Like the iPad

We could grumble at the lack of Retina Display
The iPad mini’s display packs in the same 1024x768 pixels as the original 2010 iPad
And purists will spot the extra grain and fuzz around the edge of text. But HD movies still look great
And the portability more than makes up for those rough edges and visible pixels. Your technophobic family certainly won’t spot them
They’ll be too busy playing A
No Retina Display means a lack of detail
Expensive compared to the Nexus 7
Ageing processor
Relatively low resolution screen
Not as good value as competing tablets
Lower screen resolution and CPU horsepower than we would expect
Apple's latest and cheapest iPad offering is out: the iPad mini (2012) has been introduced to address two issues that users care about: a smaller form-factor and a new price segment now just above $300. After initially dismissing smaller tablets under the...

Low resolution screen can be bothersome from close viewing distances, Pricey, iOS is boring, Purchasing, You can buy an iPad Mini starting at $329 for the 16GB model in your choice of black or white. If you want cellular data with LTE, you now have three
The iPad Mini is a miniature iPad, and that's a very powerful prospect. It has just about everything we want in a small iPad, except for, of course, a Retina display. As long as you're holding the iPad Mini 18″ or more away from your eyes, the lower scr...
Although the iPad mini doesn't have as good of a camera as the iPhone 5, it still does a great job, especially considering it's an iPad. Since the iPad mini is much smaller than the retina iPad, using it to take photos is also much less awkward than with...
Abstract: After using the iPad mini for a week, the smaller device is more mobile and enjoyable to use than the full size iPad.The lack of LTE on early models forces the use of a phone as a personal hotspot, which is not as handy as integrated connectivity, somethi...
Abstract: Video Review: The iPad Mini from Apple features a 7.9-inch IPS display, a dual core A5 processor and more for only $329. But what sets this tablet apart from its older brother, the iPad? Matt Mira and John Barrowman take a look....
Beautifully designed.Very good cameras. Largest library of tablet apps.
Expensive. Wide. Slippery
The iPad mini lets you run the best library of apps in the biz on a tablet you'll actually want to carry, but it's not the best small-screen tablet you can buy....
Abstract: I've been an iPad 2 owner for a year-and-a-half, but I plan to make the switch to this 32 GB iPad mini. I don't want two tablets in my life, so I intend to sell my iPad 2 and use an iPhone 4S, a 2009 13″ MacBook Pro, and a 2012 iPad mini. This 7.9″ device...
Abstract: Follow @MobileGalen The iPad Mini is no question the best media tablet, easy to use on the go or on the couch for playing games, watching movies, and reading books. But can it hack it as a "regular" tablet despite its smaller size? It's the only media...
