The editors liked

  • Epic boss battles. Gorily gorgeous visuals. Nonstop macho action.
  • Set pieces
  • The whole scale of the thing
  • Combat system
  • Amazing Graphics
  • Great voicing
  • Stylish gameplay
  • Lots of Blood and Gore
  • Quick
  • Fluid combat is more fun than ever
  • Gigantic sense of scale
  • Puzzles are clever and challenging
  • But not that difficult
  • Intense visual and audio experience
  • Fluid
  • Fastpaced and exciting combat
  • Memorable boss battles.

The editors didn't like

  • Occasional control and camera niggles. Little innovation in game mechanics.
  • Some textures look a little rubbery
  • Might have taken a step too far in terms of shock factor
  • Story can be a little short
  • QTEs can catch you offguard
  • Ending is somehow too long AND too abrupt
  • Only two Titan levels?
  • Doesn't need crateshifting puzzles.

  • Abstract:  When is more of the same not a bad thing? When the predecessor was outstanding. God of War III offers very little new to gamers, it is a title which, almost entirely, takes that which came before it – both good and bad – and wraps it up in a new, or ...

  • Abstract:  This game is, by far, the highest BPM (buttons per minute) of any game I’ve played in the last year. Because Kratos needs to wield his weapons in the fast-paced, frenetic finale to the God of War Trilogy. Vengeance requires a lot of buttons! There is no...

  • God of War III is a great game from start to finish that proudly bears the series name while pushing the boundaries of what is capable on the PS3. Is it the best game in the series? I’d say not, but it is by no means an inferior product. If you’ve been...

  • Abstract:  Revenge. That’s all Kratos cares about anymore. It’s what drives him, what keeps him alive against impossible odds. Ever since he lost his status as the God of War, his goal has been simple: kill Zeus, the greatest god in the Pantheon and the one res...

  • Abstract:  When we look back at God of War III, we will remember it for containing Kratos’ low point. In his gaming career, he has slaughtered demons, monsters, mythological beings, his own family, and creatures too large to comprehend. There is one thing though ...

  • Abstract:  God of War III is one impressive looking game. From the opening moment to its' eventual climatic end, it never disappoints. The game is almost entirely rendered in-game, meaning there are no pre-rendered scenes or pieces added. Combine this with the sh...

  • Abstract:  God of War has always done action really well. It's ability to make the player feel powerful with a few well-timed button presses, along with a grunting protagonist tearing mythological creatures apart and a great orchestral score, sets the...

  • I loved God of War 3. The game comes ever so close to perfection. The action is intense, the puzzles are smart, and the controls are fluid. Sure it feels a lot like previous God of War titles, but that isn’t really a bad thing. When a game is so good, ...

  • Abstract:  The God of War trilogy is coming to an end, and as we all hoped, Kratos is going out with a bang. A destructive, rage filled, visceral, blood covered, bang of epic proportions. There's no doubt that God of War III has been one of the most anticipated g...

  • Epic, breathtaking visuals showcase next-gen console performance, Viscerally satisfying and fun hack-and-slash gameplay, Wide variety of weapons and special items,
  • Doesn't innovate much from previous entries in the series, Mini-games can become annoying or repetitive,
  • God of War III finally makes owning a PS3 worthwhile. ...
