  • Lots of Blood and Gore
  • Quick
  • Fluid combat is more fun than ever
  • Gigantic sense of scale
  • Puzzles are clever and challenging
  • But not that difficult
  • Intense visual and audio experience
  • Fluid
  • Fastpaced and exciting combat
  • Memorable boss battles.

The editors didn't like

  • Occasional control and camera niggles. Little innovation in game mechanics.
  • Some textures look a little rubbery
  • Might have taken a step too far in terms of shock factor
  • Story can be a little short
  • QTEs can catch you offguard
  • Ending is somehow too long AND too abrupt
  • Only two Titan levels?
  • Doesn't need crateshifting puzzles.

  • Abstract:  It’s been three years since console gamers last saw Kratos storming towards the mountain where the Olympians resided. God of War II finished with a massive cliffhanger, which left gamers in the lurch, and eagerly anticipating the next chapter in the bl...

  • Abstract:  In the works for three years, God of War III has finally arrived for the PlayStation 3 as one of the most anticipated games for the Sony console. I really, really enjoyed the first two even with some flaws and some of the more frustrating sequences lik...

  • Abstract:  Debates over its final boss fight aside, God of War 2's ending made for good theater: Greek Kratos rode on the titan Gaia's back as she scaled Mount Olympus in pursuit of a gods vs. titans face-off with Zeus and friends. It served as a big cliffhanger ...

  • Abstract:  A man of few words, our blue-hued Spartan Kratos prefers to let his feet (and fists) do the talking - and this is exactly what he does from the very beginning of God of War III, which opens in about as explosive a manner as I've seen a game begin ever....

  • Abstract:  In God of War III (Sony) chains are a prominent feature. Fitting, given that Kratos, the protagonist of Sony’s video game trilogy, feels that his life has been bound by the whimsy of the Greek pantheon. Kratos’ main weapon is constructed of chains, and...

  • When Sony first decided to publish God of War it was highly unlikely they would have realised how popular the series would become. Now a system seller, God of War and Kratos is synonymous with the PlayStation system, one of those games that almost e...

  • Abstract:  Kratos is back and more brutal than ever for this final instalment in the God of War (GOW) series. Decapitating enemies barehanded, gouging out eyes, and disembowelling mythic beasts are all on the menu, with plenty of blood to boot. And it's now av...
