But we can’t help but feel Guerrilla Games missed a trick here by not letting players literally take to the skies in the kind of epic battles we imagined we’d be having with them.Killzone 3’s campaign
Despite feeling routine on occasion is an enjoyable one. It doesn’t offer much in the way of the revolutionary new features and mechanics that fans are now crying out for in their FP
Visuals are stunning
Move control actually works if you opt for it
Easily the best FPS on the PS3
Breathlessly excited
Fastpaced and gorgeous to look at
Multiplayer is more immediately enjoyable than KZ2's
More varied action makes campaign more fun
3D and Move are cool additions
If you've got them
Looks and sounds incredible
Seriously atmospheric and fun singleplayer
Good multiplayer suite
Offering some new ideas and great XP based levelling

Killzone 3, like its predecessor, is in no danger of pushing any boundaries (despite the inclusion of Move and 3D support). Indeed, it feels very much like a game which has been created with a good knowledge of the competition and at times it threatens...
Abstract: There is a lot of pressure on Killzone 3 to deliver a memorable multiplayer experience for PS3 fanboys. Just as Halo was crucial to the success of Xbox Live, Sony is depending on Killzone 3 to deliver the best online experience of any console-excl..

Abstract: If we had to describe Killzone 2 in one word, after careful deliberation we'd plump for 'grey'. While nailing the Helghast troops was undeniably entertaining, and those glowing red eyes gave us the willies even after switching the PS3 off, the game's e...
Abstract: "Intense" - there's no word that better describes the experience that is Killzone 3 for the PlayStation 3. I seriously can't think of a recently released shooter that can top the game in terms of sheer intensity, "holy shit!" moments, and pure action. ...

Top-notch action and gunplay; improved multiplayer; Malcolm McDowell's voicework steals the show; great visuals.
Disappointing story; it's hard to care about heroes you don't like; audio glitches are common.
It's a competent shooter with some decent moments; the bullet impacts are extremely satisfying; the jet pack level stands out as one of the better moments in recent FPS history.
Features a laundry list of regressive design ideas; the ending is completely and utterly bungled; never really does anything to make you sit up and take notice there are thrilling moments, but nothing truly inspiring. As is often the case with games reviewed before release, I didn't get to fully test out the multiplayer before writing my review. I did take into consideration the fact that it exi
