Small
Solid build quality
Smooth interface performance
Feature-packed camera
Uncluttered by pre-loaded apps
For a device so small the HTC Explorer has a great screen that at times displays colours wonderfully
Particularly when viewing video. It’s an LCD screen that when it wants to performs like the AMOLED screens you’ll find on pricier handsets. And as typical of HTC handsets
The HTC Explorer is well made. Like its more mid-entry lookalike the HTC Wildfire
The attention to detail here is to be appl
Comes with HTC Sense 3.5
Wi-Fi capabilities
Responsive touchscreen
Rubber casing means it can probably withstand a drop or two
Deeply integrated social networks
A neat phone that is easy to find your way around and is a good price for anyone wanting to enter the smartphone arena
Affordable Android action
Specially adapted Sense 3.5.a user interface
Cheap
Clear calls
Great for occasional users
Good battery life
Attractive price
Solid build
Android on a budget
Sturdy case
Sense user interface
Bright screen
Low price tag
Good performance for the price
The editors didn't like
Dull design
Fuzzy screen
Poor camera capture quality
The HTC Explorer may be well built but it’s hardly the most desirable of phones. It’s an entry level phone
And it looks like one. And some will find it a little too small. This gives rise to problems typing on its dainty touchscreen keypad. Expect to make a lot of errors when typing. We praised the screen but it doesn’t always perform to its best. Browsing menus and quickly swiping between them
Tiny screen
Occasional lag
Only 3.15MP camera with no flash
Doesn't come with headphones
May be too highly priced
The chip is rather sluggish and surfing the net is not much fun on that small display
Which has disappointing resolution too
Small screen
Low-powered specs
Screen is a little too small
Screen looks bad with moving content
Hard to remove backplate
Short on internal storage
Soso camera
No Flash support
Modest spec
Camera quite poor
Small screen hampers the web browsing experience slightly

Abstract: HTC, like Samsung, has made a name for itself by producing high-tech Android phones with big screens and high-end specs, yet both companies have dabbled in entry-level smartphones for years. 2012 is where the battle really kicks off.HTC€s affordable Andro...
WOW, here we are at the end of another review. Hard to believe really as the time really has flown by. Overall my time with the HTC Explorer has been quite a pleasant one although I wasn't blown away by the sheer quality of the phone. I was however imp...

The HTC Explorer is decent entry level phone that offers little in the way of standout features. Despite this it’s still a worthwhile purchase for those simply looking for a phone they use to stay in contact, but love the idea of being able to hit up t...
Hard to remove backplate; short on internal storage; soso camera; no Flash support
The HTC Explorer is a little on the chunky side, but solidly built. It's quite small and not best suited to web browsing or text entry, and its camera isn't great. Still, it is attractively priced, and younger users or those who don’t need to push thei...
With smartphones rapidly becoming “normal” phones there's many manufacturers who are trying to make their devices more appealing to users who aren't your average “smartphone buyers”. This device, which packs the high-end specs like GPS, WiFi, microSD expa...
Cheap, small, clear calls, great for occasional users, good battery life
Screen is a little too small, screen looks bad with moving content
A great little phone that will appeal to exactly the people it should; occasional users who want a smartphone for a smattering of surfing and email, but nothing more...
Affordable Android action; specially adapted Sense 3.5.a user interface
Small screen; low-powered specs
The HTC Explorer is aimed at those using a smart phone for the first time. We reckon this straightforward Android handset could find plenty of fans....
Android on a budget, sturdy case, good battery life,
Modest spec, camera quite poor
It's not really an object of desire, but as a solidly built and well equipped introduction to smartphones, the HTC Explorer could end up on an awful lot of shopping lists this year, and rightfully so.SpecificationsSoftware : Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread P...
