The editors didn't like

  • The touch controls simply aren't responsive enough for more complicated actions such as skipping through multiple tracks. I used them for quickly pausing or resuming my music
  • But for the most part I'd rely on my music player for anything more demanding
  • It's pricier than the Bose
  • While the sound quality is excellent for Bluetooth
  • It's lacking that little bit of extra sparkle and definition (Sennheiser's own Momentum II Wireless sounds better)
  • Midrange can be a touch harsh
  • Touch control is finicky
  • Expensive
  • Unresponsive touch controls
  • No battery notification
  • Noise cancellation could be better.
  • Slightly rich bass
  • In-house competition
  • ANC bettered by Bose
  • Very slight hardness to mids
  • Awkward switch locations
  • Noise cancellation doesn't quite match Bose
  • Pricey
  • Some volume limits
  • Noise cancelling less effective used on its own
  • Quite Pricey

  • I have to say that the Bluetooth issue is annoying as heck, especially that I use Google Assistant a lot. I'm still hopeful that this could be fixed by a firmware update. Sennheiser PXC550 is my ‘take it with me' choice to work, Premiere Pro CC editing, a...

  • The Sennheiser PXC 550 retails for around Rs 30,000 and at this price, it is one of the most feature-packed headphones you can get. They deliver good sound quality, have a great build, are wireless, comfortable, can be folded for added portability, and co...

  • Noise cancellation could be better, Touch controls are hit and miss
  • the Sennheiser PXC 550 provided a great listening experience in the weeks we have had with it. The touch controls maybe a little flimsy, but sound output is still great. Noise cancellation on the other hand, could be better...

  • Even though the PXC 550 is still quite stylish, it is not to the point that you are more worried about how good they look sitting on your head more than the practicalities of them. The PXC 550 is just so versatile in its design, from its folding away capa...

  • Comfy, innovative, elegant design, Outrageously good battery life, Great sound and a first-class tuning app, Active NC to rival Bose,
  • Touch controls may not suit some, Volume gesture could be more granular, Non-user-replaceable battery, $50 more expensive than Bose QC35
  • Take nothing away from Bose – the QC35's are excellent headphones in their own right. But I came out of this test preferring the Sennheiser PXC 550's, for a number of reasons.First, they sound slightly better, and only narrowly fall short of the heights o...
